New York Rates

Triad Guaranty is introducing revised Rate Cards that reflect our most recent guideline changes.

New York Property Restrictions
  • A New York property cannot be insured unless the loan-to-value (LTV), calculated by dividing the loan amount by the appraised value, is 80% or greater.
  • Loans with scheduled or potential negative amortization are not insurable.
  • "Skip payment" loan programs, such as Fannie Mae's Timely Payment Reward®, are not insurable.
  • The maximum LTV for properties, other than co-ops, is 103%. Co-ops are limited to 100%.
Once you determine that your loan is insurable, please consult your Triad premium rate schedule to determine the appropriate LTV (loan amount divided by the lower of purchase price or appraised value), coverage and rate for your New York property.
